Naming Traditions
Hello again people. Here with same theme that is name. Now I will talk about "naming tradition"
Did you have your parents' name on your name?
In Indonesia, there are just a few families which use surname for their offspring, and also in Indonesia parents give their children randomly as good as they want. It can be consists of 1 word until 5 word based on my experience. You all know my name from previous posts, right ? , For your information, my abi's name is Aribowo Trisno Aji and my ummi's name is Dwi Larasati, so, I don't have any surname.
In addition, I also interested with naming tradition in Japanese. Almost all Japanese people has 2 word for their names. It's very uncommon that Japanese people has more than 2 word in their name. In Japan, they are always put surname on their first name and followed by given name. Usually people call each other using their surname, and if they are close enough they will use given name.
For example, she is from Sakura's family so she will named Sakura as (surname) Momoko as (given name). I just thinking that when her family gathering and I supposed to call her with "Sakura" and the whole of her family will looking at to me, I just have no idea to face that haha.
So, do you have a surname on your name? Comment below !!
That's all for this post, see ya, Cheer up ^^
