Your Name is Your Parents' Grace

          Name is  a thing that every people have. Everyone have different name some people have it same. Name identity who you are, so people can recognize you by a name. Did you know, that a name is given in purpose ? A name given by your parents, your father or your mother even your nearby / close family. A name has their own mean which could reflect its owner.

          For example, My Name is Zakie Mahri Prasojo, it’s given by Abi and Ummi ( how I called my parents ) I was born in Semarang, so I has Javanese name at least. Now, let’s talk about the meaning behind my name.

First name is Zakie, when I was child, I don’t  know why it’s have an “e” letter in the last, I never seen before the name like that, but Zakie means Intelligent.

Second name is Mahri, it stands for “geMAH RIpah loh jinawi”, it means physical and spiritual well-being.

And Third name is Prasojo, it was given because if I become like my first and second names, Ummi wants me to remain humble and not arrogant for having that.

I was asked by my lecturer, what name will I give to my child ? Well, I just want to put “Prasojo” in the last name on him/her, I wish same as Ummi’s wish. And also my lecturer ask me three of my favorite english name, so I choose “Thompson”, “Brian” and “Vox” and for females “Varya”, “Ruby” and “Monica”. If I could change my name, I prefer to not change it, because it was grace and pray from my parents.

So, do you know the meaning of your name ? if you don’t, go ask your parents now ! Think carefully if you want to give your child a name later.
