A Synopsis

Hi there, it's been a while since the last post. Now I wanna share about a synopsis from one of my favorite novels. This novel also adapted to a movie this year, but there are some differences between its novels and movies. I just wanna tell you about the synopsis from the book not the differences.

Synopsis

In the book, in 2040s, the world has been gripped by an energy crisis from the depletion of fossil fuels and the consequences of global warming also overpopulation, causing widespread social problems and economic stagnation.

The community trying to escape and face up those problems. The most people turn to the OASIS, a virtual reality simulator accessible by players using visors and haptic technology such as gloves, suit and glasses. It is allow the players get to the virtual world but with their own senses. It functions both as an MMORPG(Massive Multi-player Online Role-Playing Games) and as a virtual society which allow to communicate even get real money, with its currency being the most stable in the real world. It was created by James Halliday who, when he died, had announced in his will to the public that he had left an Easter egg inside OASIS, and the first person to find it would inherit his entire fortune and the corporation.

The story follow the adventure of one of a gunter(Egg hunter) Wade Watts(Parzival) and his friends, starting about five years after the announcement, when he discovers one of the three keys pointing to the treasure.

Well, I very addicted by Sci-fi novels, mostly about games. Not only the book can be very interesting, but also the movie was great, in my opinion the last battle was so epic, there were some characters I knew. So entertaining.
