Review "Challenge You and Your Community" Final Part

Well, welcome back to my blog. Today, I would like to continue my book’s review of “Challenge You and Your Community”. Previous post, I have share about how it works for social change, now I would like to share two organization that gives the most contribution in a project for social change in the world.

For your information, this is the last part of this book’s review. Hehe

1. Youth in Action Programme

Youth in Action is the Programme the European Union has set up for young people. It aims to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future. It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU's borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background: Youth in Action is a Programme for all!

The general objectives of the Youth in Action Programme are to:

1. Promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular

2. Develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people, in particular in order to foster social cohesion in the European Union

3. Foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries

4. Contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field

5. Promote European cooperation in the youth field.

2. A.R.T. Fusion Association (www.artfusion.ro)

A.R.T. Fusion is a youth organisation that tries to offer a realistic perspective over the struggling problems of our Romanian society nowadays. We want to change the attitudes of the people in our community, together with other society members, to help find solutions to the problems that the community is facing.

A.R.T. Fusion’s Mission is to improve social competencies of children, adolescents and youngsters, through participative arts methods, in order to help them achieve personal growth.

A.R.T. Fusion’s Objectives:

1. Giving a wider access to information, projects and programmes of personal and/or general interest for children, adolescents and youngsters, as long as these actions prove to be necessary for a harmonious development in our global society;

2. Rising the degree of involvement of the target group in socio-cultural activities that are providing the base for an active responsible citizen;

3. Stimulating a pro-social attitude in children, adolescents and youth.
